This is an interesting little feature that must be new because I use the forums a lot, and I just noticed it today. Thumbs up.

This can be helpful but on topics that I post on daily, like most/all of the userrun game threads, it's sort of annoying having a slew of bright green checks going down the page. No big deal though.

it's no less annoying than going through a bunch of threads without checks next to them. I just like the added aesthetic of the green checkmarks, and if you only post on one thread in a forum, it makes it very easy to find.

Matter of opinion; the shade of green hurts my eyes a bit. Bright/light colors on white is an aesthetic choice that I probably don't understand.

Woah that is kind of neat, but also bright jeeze. Looks like I better find some css to tone that down a bit.

I guess I don't really see the point in this feature. I feel like if I would know if I posted in a thread or not. Granted I don't post as much as a lot of people but still. And often I'd post more then once in a thread anyway.

Just feels a bit unneeded to me but doesn't really bother me. Though its really annoying having three different alignments for threads. Wish there was some way to keep them aligned.

I don't see a need for it. Mostly, though, I wish it was behind the link to see the new comments posted.

I love it! I'm on the Delphi layout and the green is pretty soft. Noticeable enough to be worthwhile but definitely not jarring.

Personally, I'd love to see Subeta adopt other features like this. Subeta's a little behind on handy forum usability things.

My two fav features like this one that other websites have are a checkmark or tally that says that a thread has recieved new posts since you last viewed it (LJ added this years ago for example) and a slightly diff background color on posts that you've read (SA and some other forums have this and it's great for keeping track of things on longer threads).

i.green.icon {color: !important;}

If you want to hide it entirely: i.green.icon {display: none;}

As for the feature itself, I could take it or leave it [/font]

The only thing that bugs me about this is that there's no difference between the "you've posted in this thread" and the "this thread you've posted in has new posts in it" checkmarks.

I didn't realize until now how much I value knowing which thread has new posts in it.

One's a check mark and one is a square with an arrow, not to mention one is green and the other is black?

No. If a green checked thread gets a new post, the user still sees a green arrow. There's no change to indicate that thread has new posts in it. It's still the same identical green arrow.

The black square/arrow only indicates a thread with new posts that a user has not posted in.

Really? I'm not. All I see is the green arrow for all threads I've posted in, including this one with new posts in it.

Odd.

Probably user error if it's just me.
